Delhi Police files chargesheet within a month in Trilokpuri minor girl rape case

The Delhi Police filed chargesheet within a month in minor's rape of Trilokpuri. The accused, a neighbour if the minor girl was held within hours of the incident.
The unfortunate incident took place on August 11. The police chargesheeted the accused under sections 376 AB r/w sec 6 POCSO Act & sec 3(2)(V) SC/ST Act has been filed in court today within three weeks of the registration of the case.
The MHA had directed Delhi Police the investigation in this case should be completed speedily and chargesheet be filed within 30 days so that the victim's family gets justice. A high-level review was conducted by the MHA in which Delhi Police had committed to file the charge sheet within 30 days of registration of the case, after which a fast track court will conduct the trial.
The 187-page charge sheet was submitted by Delhi Crime Branch in the Court of Hasan Anjar, ASJ, Special Court (POCSO Act), Karkardooma Courts, Delhi, who has fixed 10th September for further proceedings.
As per the case details, the case was transferred from Mayur Vihar police station to Delhi Crime Branch on August 14. The case was adsigned to ACP Arvind Kumar for speedy investigation under the supervision of Manoj CG, DCP (Crime).
During investigation, all evidences, including technical, were analyzed and brought on record. Senior officers supervised the investigation on day-to-day basis, officials added.
