Delhi Police North West busted two platforms of cheating that duped youth with foreign jobs

Delhi Police North West busted a gang of cheats that duped youth with foreign jobs at Subhash Place and Mujherjeenagar of Delhi. 

The police held five accused and seized five desktops, one laptop, five mobiles, debit/credit cards and cheque books were recovered from the Subhash Place centre while police arrested 11 and seized one laptop, desktop, printer, seven mobiles, one Internet router, record registers and calling data from the Mukherjee Nagar centre.  

DCP (North West) Usha Rangnani stated that the accused at both the centres allured innocents or unemployed youth on the pretext of providing jobs in abroad by using fake degrees.

In the first case, the police had received an online complaint regarding cyber fraud in which complainant stated that she applied for a job in abroad through portal www.career.in and after telephonic interview, she was charged processing/ registration fees. The accused the  stopped answering her calls. 

The initial enquiry showed that the account no. was found registered by name RKS Solutions, based in Subhash Place and alleged calls were made through VOIP (Voice over internet protocol) to hide identity. A raid was conducted at the registered address in Subhash Place from where five persons.

They disclosed to police that they used to dupe innocents in lieu of providing jobs. During investigation, it came to notice that account holder Kapil and Sagar developed two websites: www.carrermy.in & www.carrerbuild.in  through developer and registered with Godaddy.  

After that they bought data of job aspirants through www.shine.com. They also bought a Toll Free number 18002584514. 

In the second case, the police had received information on the opration of a fake call-center at Hakikat Nagar. It also came to notice that the callers were cheating with unemployed youth on pretext of getting their documents stamped from MHRD for the purpose of sending them abroad and also getting them admission in colleges and providing them fake degrees. They used to collect information from the various job portals used to con unemployed youth by luring them to send abroad and also by providing them fake degree of any college/ university, so that they do not require Emigration Check.  

During the raid conducted at the said premises, a total of 11 persons were found inside the premises. The accused were running their call centre with the name “Bright Future Institute of Management and Technology”.   

The police are further investigating the case.
