Delhi Police sets up two new women police posts in the national capital

New Delhi, February 19

The Delhi Police have set up two new all-women police posts in Khan Market.

Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena inaugurates the posts in a warm ceremony. Delhi CP Sanjay Arora and senior police officials were also present. 

The officials informed that the bew posts have been equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and staffed by well-trained female officers, officials said.

The Khan Market Police Post is led by sub-inspector Puja Saini, supported by nine subordinate female officers.

The police post at Shraddhanand Marg aims to provide a conducive environment for women complainants and ensure a visible female police presence in the area. 

During the event, L-G Saxena engaged with residents of the area and encouraged the women personnel to serve the cocommunity. 

The event saw the participation of representatives from the Khan Market Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA).
