Delhi Police Special Cell busted three modules of interstate firearms suppliers

Delhi Police Special Cell busted two modules of interstate firearms racket and arrested three form the gangs.
The interstate firearms traffickers were identified as Suraj Parmar from Morena, MP, Ravi Kumar from Bijnaur UP and Pradeep Kumar Rajha from Meerut UP.
The special cell seized 15 illegal semiautomatic pistols of .32 bore, 10 single shot pistols of .315 bore, 50 live cartridges of .32 bore & 25 live cartridges of .315 bore that were brought to Delhi to further supply the same to the criminals of Delhi/NCR.
Morena Module :- The special cell identified Suraj Parmar as the key trafficker from Morena who was tracked in Delhi. The agency received information about his arrival in Delhi to deliver the consignment of illegal firearms and ammunition to the criminals of Delhi and this consignment of illegal firearms could be delivered near Sarita Vihar. Suraj was held in a trap laid in the area.
The officials said that Kallu, a friend of accused Suraj is an illegal firearms trafficker who used to go to Khargone for procuring illegal firearms. Accused Suraj also used to accompany Kallu to Khargone. Thus he came into the contact with illegal firearms manufacturers/suppliers of Khargone, MP. Finding this illegal trade lucrative, he himself started indulging in this illegal trade of firearms.Initially he used to supply illegal firearms to criminals of MP but later on he came into contact of criminals of other states including Rajasthan, UP and Delhi.
The accused started supplying illegal firearms and ammunitions tothe criminals of these states also and has been doing so for the last three years. Accused Suraj used to procure illegal pistol from Khargone and used to sell it further.
UP West Module:- Ravi Kumar and Pradeep Kumar were traced to Delhi who were also found to be in the national capital to deliver the consignment of illegal firearms and ammunition to the criminals of NCR. The information was that they would deliver the consignment of illegal firearms near Akshardham flyover.
Ravi is a notorious arms supplier having criminal background and he has previously been involved in 12 criminal cases including that of Arms Act, assault on police, snatching, robbery and theft. in Delhi and UP. Ravi along with one of his associates was earlier arrested by Special Cell after a brief exchange of fire in Delhi in the year 2019, in which he got injured in one leg. His brother Raju is also an active firearms trafficker and was earlier arrested by the same team of Special Cell in April, 2021 for possessing 5 pistols after a brief exchange of fire in Delhi in which Raju also received a gunshot injury in his leg.
Pradeep has also been found previously involved in a case of illegal arms trafficking in the area of Modi Nagar in UP.
Both the arrested persons have revealed that they procured these illegal firearms from an arms supplier based in Burhanpur in MP. The duo used to procure illegal pistol from Burahanpur, MP and used to sell it further.
