Former driver of BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi found dead in a pond

The body of former driver of Bihar’s former deputy chief minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi was found from a pond in a village near Fatuha in Patna. He had reportedly quit his job five days ago.
The police were alerted when the locals saw the body floating in a pond at Macharia village and informed the police station. The police team roped in divers who fished out the body.
According to police, one of the villagers, Gaurakh Chouhdary, identified the body as of his son-in-law Rajesh Kumar Choudhary alias Guddu (40), a resident of Kankarbagh in Patna.
Gaurakj reportedly informed police that he had come to their house on August 30 but disappeared the same day. The family was searching for him.
The police stated that they suspect he died by drowning as there are no mark of injuries on his body. The actual cause of death will be clear only after the autopsy, officials added.
Rakesh Kumar was working as Modi's driver and recently quit his job.
