The Gurugram police held cab driver who allegedly raped his neighbour's wife
The Gurugram police said the accused barged into the woman's house around 5 am on Friday. He allegedly threatened to murder the woman if she sounded an alarm and then sexually assaulted her.
The police said the woman’s husband, who also works as a cab driver, had gone to fuel his CNG vehicle.
The woman and her three-year-old daughter were sleeping at the rented accommodation in Sector 63 A. Around 5 am, the accused, who resided next door, barged into the woman’s home.
The woman woke up and cried for help. The accused then gagged her and pushed her down. He threatened to murder her if she sounded an alarm and then sexually assaulted her.
The accused fled the spot, following which the woman called her husband and narrated her ordeal to him. She then dialled the ‘112’ helpline, police added
The police have booked the accused under sections 376 (rape), 323 (voluntary causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) was lodged at the Sector 65 police station in Gurugram.
