J&K Police officer Arshid Ahmad shot dead by terrorists

New Delhi, September 14
The J&K Police officer Arshid Ahmad Mir was allegedly shot by the terrorists in Khangar of Srinagar.
The officer was posted at Khanyal police station of Srinagar police. Arshid was a probationary Sub Inspector who had recently joined the police force.
The Srinagar police while expressing sorrow on the incident stated that Arshid was young and committed officer who had joine the police force.
The police said that he was shot at point blank range by militants twice. The CCTV footage of the area captured the incident that showed Arshid receiving two bullets in his body in a straight shot directed at him.
The Kashmir Police paid tributes to the martyred Arshid at a wreath laying ceremony. DGP Kashmir, Dilbag Singh paid led the senior officers of police and paramilitary forces. The police Chief and officers from Kashmir police also condoled the grieving family.
The Srinagar police have registered a case and begun investigation into his death.
