Latest innovations from over 15 countries showcased at the International Police Expo

New Delhi, August 19

The 6th International Police Expo 2021 showcased latest advanced firearms, ammunition, drones, armoured vehicles and a plethora of disruptive technologies in cybersecurity, homeland security, safety and rescue space from over 15 countries. 

The two day event in New Delhi attracted   disaster rescue authorities, law enforcement agencies and central armed forces. The aim of the police expo is to complement central and state governments efforts in the direction of police modernization and strengthening of internal security and disaster management infrastructure.

Highlighting the key attractions, Mukesh Kharia, Organiser, International Police Expo said, “As the first responder in emergencies and with the rise of new age crime, the role of policing has evolved where we need to have modern technologies and latest innovations to shape the future of law enforcement and internal security. We are confident that the 6th edition of International Police Expo will support Indian Police and allied forces in exploring the way technology can make India more safe and secure". 

The National security has been a top priority for the government. Amid the pandemic, internal security has become a global issue. Managing Internal Security is a major challenge not only for the country but all over the world. We are entering in the era of new age crimes and terrorism where the modus operandi of the crimes is evolving with a huge transition. Nowadays the new breed of criminals and terrorists is more tech savvy and hence pose bigger challenge to the Police and Forces of India, thus require huge modernisation in the police force of the country both states and central. Climate change has also led to the rising graph of natural disasters demanding the need for advance rescue technologies and equipment. 

Adani Group, India and Israel Weapon Industries (IWI), Israel joint venture PLR Systems Pvt Ltd (PLR) showcased IWI weapons like TAVOR Assault Rifle, DAN Sniper Rifles with range of more than 1200 mtr, Masada ambidextrous Pistol (can be used by both hands), GALIL Sniper Rifle and a lot more. Some of these weapons are already in service with the Indian Armed Forces, CAPFs (CRPF/ BSF/ SFF) and State Police Forces. The Tavor Assault Rifles and Galil Sniper Rifles were used by our elite Special Forces during the Surgical Strikes.

WB Group, the largest defence contractor in Poland has launched highly customizable law enforcement solution SmartEye systems designed for traffic surveillance and automatic evidence capture. The system continuously monitors the position of each vehicle on the road. Automatically recognizes cars driving too close while creating the evidence of such violation.
