New Delhi, January 13
A 23-year-old law student from Amity University died after falling from the seventh floor of a high rise in Noida.
The police said that the incident took place at the Supreme Tower Society in Noida’s Sector 99.
The deceased was pursuing LLB. He had come to visit his friends at the residential society.
The police informed that the incident took place around 4.30 pm. He fell from the seventh floor of an eighteen-storey building under suspicious circumstances. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment where doctors declared him dead.
The family has cried foulplay and lodged a complaint with police. A case was registered under section 108 (abetting suicide) with the Noida Police after the student’s father filed a complaint.
The police added that the family suspects the involvement of his friends. The family has also alleged that the student was being harassed by a fellow female student.
Meanwhile, the security officials present at the spot told police that on hearing the noise they ran the boy was breathing. There was no blood around. They thought he was only injured but when they touched him, they found that ge had stopped breathing.
