Mahrashtra Police busts a den of MDMA in Palghar, seizes drugs worth Rs. 32 crores

New Delhi, October 24

The Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar (MBVV) police in Maharashtra busted a narcotics manufacturing unit operating at a farmhouse in a tribal area in Palghar district of Maharashtra. The MDMA worth Rs 32 crores was seized from the spot.

This raid comes on the heels of major seizures in raids conducted at Solapur, Nashik and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

The police had earlier arrested the farmhouse owner Sameer Pinjar, a civil contractor, and six others in connection with the case.

The police team raided the farmhouse and seized a large stock of narcotic substances and found accessories and machinery used for making the contraband. The manufacturing unit was set up in the remote village to evade the law enforcement authorities.

The police are on the lookout for more persons involved in the supply of drugs from this unit that were primarily sold in Mumbai.
