MHA opens appointment of Joint Director (Security) of Rajya Sabha

New Delhi, January 4

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has opened the recruitment and appointment for the position of Joint Director (Security) Rajya Sabha on deputation basis. 

The post is open for IPS officers from State police (except Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram & UTs), all CAPFs (Central Armed Police force) and CPOs (Central Police Organization). 

The officers who are willing to take up the posts have been asked to send their bio data, vigilance clearance and other details to the MHA. The applications for the post are open till January 31, 2022. 

The notification issued by Under Secretary Raman Kumar stated, “I am directed to refer to the subject above and to say that the Rajya Sabha Secretariat has proposed to fill up the post of Joint Director (Security) in Parliament Security Service in Level-12 of the pay matrix, on deputation basis from among the officers of IPS/CAPFs/ CPOs presently working in the Junior Administrative Grade/ Selection Grade on regular basis”. 

It further stated, “The State Governments, CAPFs and CPOs are, therefore, requested to send nominations of willing and eligible officers along with bio-data, vigilance clearance and attested copies of their APARs for the last five years, to this Ministry for assessing their suitability for the subject post latest by 31.01.2022.”

The post of the joint director (security) holds importance and relevance in the security of the Rajya Sabha which is on a central deputation level where the officers moves from his parent cadre and takes up deputation at the Centre.
