Minor boy kills a friend over a borrowed sum of Rs. 60 in Hamirpur of UP

New Delhi, September 4

A minor boy allegedly bludgeoned his friend to death with a stone after a fight flared up between them over a small sum of Rs 60 in Hamirpur of Uttar Pradesh. 

The minor is  13-year-old boy. The deceased who was identified as Subbi found lacerated by wild animals. His body was recovered in 11 parts, police said. 

The police further said that the incident occurred near Kanshi Ram Colony in the district’s Sumerpur town.

While investigating the case, the police recieved tip off about the minor accused's role behind the killing and they questioned him. The teenager confessed to having murdered his friend. 

According to police, he and Subbi were in touch for the past four-five months.  He had borrowed a sum of Rs 60 from Subbi. He, however, could not return the amount. A fight broke out between them over the issue.

The teenager said that he got Rs 60 from his family to buy some household things. He, however, used the money to fund gambling with Subbi and a few other friends. After losing his money, he borrowed Rs 60 from Subbi. On Janmashtami, Subbi demanded his money back.

The police added that the victim was alive when he was hit with the stone but the accused who got scared after the incident dumped him in the bushes and fled. 

The teenage accused had disposed of the stone in a drain. He even cleaned his blood-stained clothes using water from the drain before returning home.
