Mumbai, Assam Police reach podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia's Mumbai house

Podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia failed to appear before the Khar police in Mumbai despite a second summons being served to him in connection with the ‘insensitive and vulgar’ jokes made during India’s Got Latent show recently.
A team from the Khar police station was sent to his Versova residence after Allahbadia failed to turn up for the second time. A team from the Assam Police, which is also Investigating a criminal complaint against Allahbadia, also accompanied the Khar police team.
Following the uproar over the viral clip of India’s Got Latent show, first, the Assam Police and then the Maharashtra cyber police registered separate FIRs against Allahbadia, content creator Ashish Chanchlani, influencer Apoorva Mukhija, the show’s creator Samay Raina, and others, for allegedly making obscene content and broadcasting it on YouTube.
The police have recorded Apurva Mukhija's statement while Raina who is in US till February 17 wll record his statements after his return.
The Maharashtra cyber police have also summoned nearly 59 people including all the judges, participants, and others who were part of the episodes where ‘foul language’ was used.
