NIA files chargesheet against a narcotics trafficker in Salaya drug seizure case of Gujarat

The NIA filed a supplementary chargesheet in the NIA Special Court, Ahmedabad, against Sukhbir Singh @ Happy S/o Lakhbir Singh pertaining to Salaya Drug Seizure case.
As per the case details, the case is related to criminal conspiracy hatched by earlier arrested accused Arshad Sota in Dubai along with Pakistani nationals for delivering narcotic drugs in Gujarat from Pakistan. In furtherance of conspiracy, 500 kg of narcotic drugs was delivered in three consignments. The last consignment was in form of supply of 200 kg of Heroin.
The NIA had re-registered the case as and took over its investigation from ATS, Gujarat. In rhe same case, another FIR was was registered by STF (Border Range Amritsar was also taken up by NIA.
The NIA has already filed two chargesheets against nine arrested accused in this case.
The NIA investigation revealed that the consignment of 200 kg of heroin was delivered by earlier arrested accused Razak Adam Sumra, Karim Md. Siraj and Sunil Vithal Barmase to Indresh Rambachan Nishad at Gandhidham. Arrested accused Indresh Rambachan then concealed the said 200 Kg of heroin and between the wooden panels in his truck to further deliver it to arrested accused Sukhbir Singh alias Happy, aide of wanted accused Simranjit Singh Sandhu, at Amritsar in Punjab. The said consignment of drugs which was stored in a Kothi in Sultanwind, in Amritsar was seized by STF Amritsar and accused persons including Sukhbir Singh were arrested.
The officials added that Sukhbir Singh was arrested by NIA in August 2021 and after investigation a supplementary charge sheet has been filed today in the NIA Special Court at Ahmedabad. The case registered by STF Amritsar is also being taken over by NIA and further investigation is continuing.
