Nigerian held in Delhi for duping Dehradun resident of Rs. 60 lakhs in the pretext of investment in crypto currency

New Delhi, August 17
The Special Task Force of Uttrakhand Police held one Nigerian National who allegedly duped. Dehradun resident of Rs. 60 lakhs in the pretext of getting him investments worth Rs. two crores in crypto currency.
The accused was identified as Ernst Michael Ohenhen. Incidentally, he is involved in another cyber fraud at Devprayag.
SSP STF Ajay Singh stated that the accused fraudulently took Rs. 60 lakhs from the victim. The accused duped him by convincing that he was into dealing crypto currency and pretended to be an investor who would further get the victim fetch profits in crypto currency.
The Uttrakhand police have found that a group of Nigerian nationals have been lately duping citizens through cyber network in various investment schemes.
The STF has booked the accused for fraud and begun detailed investigations of the fraudulent networks he has been running in Uttrakhand.
