OVER TWO KILOGRAMS OF GAANJA RECOVERED FROM DWARKA, ARREST SUPPLIER AND PEDDLAR

New Delhi, February 22

The anti narcotics cell of Dwarka District of Delhi Police seized around five kilograms of illegal gaanja (cannabis) from Dwarka. 

The police arrested the accused identified as one Lallan (26) while his supplier Santosh (32) and Ranjeet (38) of Daulatpur were also arrested. The accused belong to Bihar and staying in Delhi from last few months. 

DCP Dwarka Santosh Kumar Meena stated that the anti narcotics cell of Dwarka police had received information that the alleged peddlars were going to arrive at JJ Colony in Dwarka. The police laid a trap and arrested the accused Lallan red handed. 

The police said during the time of arrest Lallan was allegedly found with around two kilograms of cannabis and cash of over Rs. 20,000 which he received after selling some substance from it.

The interrogation of Lallan led to arrest of Santosh and Ranjeet from Bihar who were allegedly supplying cannabis to Lallan for supply in Dwarka.

The police recovered around three kilograms of cannabis from Santosh after his arrest. The police believe that the trio had been allegedly working to supply cannabis in the district and there are more persons in their syndicate suspected to be involved. 

The accused were arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
