Rajasthan police seized 180 kgs of marijuana from an Andhra Pradesh truck, held two

The Rajasthan Police arrested four persons who had 180 kg of marijuana (ganja) from Chittorgarh district.
The accused were identified as Lal Singh (41), Ratan Singh (31), Satish alias Mama (46) and Neeraj Joshi (27) in Nimbahera area.
The police said Lal Singh, the driver of the truck iss a resident of Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh, and the other three, including the two who escorted the truck in a car, were from Chittorgarh.
The Rajasthan CID carried a joint operation with Chittorgarh police and seized the truck that entered Chittorgarh carrying the contraband.
The contraband was brought to Rajasthan from Andhra Pradesh in a truck. The police are identifying the supplier, police said.
The police added that the narcotic was meant for supply in Chittorgarh and nearby areas.
The CID had received input that a truck carrying the contraband was going to enter Chittorgarh based on which the police carried out a joint operation. The marijuana was found hidden in the roof of the truck, police said.
The police have booked the accused under the NDPS Act and taken up further investigation.
