Union HM inaugurates Seema Darshan at Nadabet on Indo Pakistan border in Gujarat

New Delhi, April 15

Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the 'Seema Darshan’ project' on India-Pakistan international border at Nadabet of Banaskantha district in Gujarat.

The inauguration was done in a spectacular ceremony organized in the presence of Gujarat CM Bhupendrabhai Patel, DG BSF  Pankaj Kumar Singh, IPS, IGP GS Malik BSF Gujarat.

The officers and jawans of BSF showcased a parade. Padmashree Kailash Kher presented mesmerizing patriotic songs.

HM Amit Shah while congratulating the people of Gujarat and the country on the occasion of Ram Navami said that life of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram has inspired our generations since time immemorial, adding to this he said that ‘’visit to Nadeshwari mata temple and fair is a blessing in itself’’.        

Appreciating the brave Bordermen of BSF, the home minister said that- "BSF protects frontiers of the nation in difficult conditions ranging from minus 40 degrees to 50 degrees. Bordermen of BSF with the motto of "Jeewan Paryant Kartavya" stands for the security of the nation in the scorching desert while staying thousands of kilometres away from their homes.
He said that whenever any disaster hits the country, Bordermen of BSF serve and protect the country even to the peril of their lives. 

The Home Minister said that ‘’24x7 and round the clock security ensured by BSF is an important factor in India’s multi-faceted development’’, because "the path of country's development can be paved only through secure borders". He addressed the Bordermen in Sainik Sammelan and also participated in the Badakhana.

Shah added that under the visionary leadership of our respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is on the path of rapid development in all spheres. As a result of the vision of our Prime Minister, this Seema Darshan project has been constructed at Nadabet in Banaskantha district. Apart from development of tourism, new job opportunities will be created. 

He said that in the next 10 years lakhs of people of this area will get new employment opportunities and with the Nadabet Seema Darshan project, Banaskantha district would become a centre of attraction in the entire country. 

The objective behind developing the Seema Darshan is providing an opportunity to the citizens of the country to experience, day to day duties of Bordermen and draw inspiration from them.

Giving detailed information about the Seema Darshan project, the home minister said that under Seema Darshan project all kinds of state-of-the-art facilities and special attractions have been developed for the tourists at a cost of 125 crores rupees. Tourism department has taken up various development works from T-junction, Zero point and in between T-junction and Zero point for the development of border tourism. 

He added that Seema Darshan has an auditorium with a seating capacity of 500 people, changing rooms, 22 shops, restaurant, 'Sarhad-Gatha' exhibition centre and museum, decorative lightings as well as solar rooftop facilities have also been developed.

Apart from this BSF barracks, drinking water and toilet block, parade ground with seating capacity of 5000 visitors, exhibition centre, parking facility and various activities for children to play have been established.

Tourism minister Purnesh Modi said that today it is a matter of great pride for entire Gujarat that several projects of border tourism have been unveiled by the department of tourism in the presence of Maa Nadeshwari on Indo-Pak international border and with the success of this project, the tourism sector will reach new heights.

On this occasion, Minister of Gujarat Gajendra Singh Parmar, MoS for education Kirtisingh Vaghela, MPs Parbatbhai Patel and Dineshbhai Anavadia, MLA Shashikantbhai Pandya, Banas Dairy president Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Secretary tourism department Harit Shukla, Jaloya gram pradhan Thanaji Dodiya, senior BSF Officers and a large number of citizens were present.
