Woman raped inside a tempo in Mumbai, rod inserted in her private parts

In a shocking incident of brutality, a 34-year-old woman was raped and brutally assaulted inside a stationary tempo in suburban Sakinaka.
The victim was found lying unconscious in a pool of blood when the police arrived at the spot.
The police arrested the accused within a few hours who was identified as Mohan Chouhan (45). The accused was arrested after he was found in the CCTv footage near the spot, officials added.
The police control room received a call in the early hours that a man was thrashing a woman on Khairani Road.
The woman was reportedly with a man who was also found lying in an injured condition.
The woman was taken to the Rajawadi government hospital where her condition is said to be critical.
As per the preliminary probe, she had been raped and assaulted with an iron rod in her private parts, he said, adding that the incident had taken place inside a tempo parked on the roadside.
The police are probing the case to know what transpired between the accused and the couple leading to this brutal incident. The accused is being interrogated by the police.
