Young boy attacked with acid in Haryana by his "girlfriend"
New Delhi, September 6
A girl allegedly threw acid on a youth in Hisaar of Haryana after he reportedly refused to marry her.
The victim is a 23-year-old youth Shubham who has suffered severe burns.
The police said that the accused girl was identified as Manisha who is distantly related to the victim. The boy has a relationship with the girl since some time.
The victim lodged a complaint with police mentioning her name as the accused.
Shubham has alleged with police that after meeting hardly once or twice, Manisha asked him to get married to her. He, however, told her that he would not marry her without his family’s consent.
However, the accused woman, told police that tthe youth was in possession of some objectionable pictures of her sister and she wanted him to delete them, however he refused delete those.
The police registered a case under Indian Penal Code Section 326 A (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by use of acid, etc). She was presented in a court and sent to judicial custody.
