A young couple were found dead in Deer Park in Delhi’s Hauz Khaz with the police probing the case with a possibility of suicide.
The boy was 21-yars-old while the girl, a native of Nepal was 18-years-old both.
The police stated that the boy's brother stated that he employed at a pizza shop in Lodhi Colony and left at 2pm from his house. The woman’s sister reported that she had been staying with her aunt in Humayunpur village for the past three days. She also left her aunt’s house at approximately 2 pm, intending to return to Chattarpur Enclave for work.
The family told police that the couple’s families found out about their relationship around two days ago when they decided to elope. However, the family had tracked them down to India Gate and brought them home. The family was allegedly against their relationship.
A security guard employed at Deer Park called police after he spotted two bodies lying in the park. The bodies were later taken to Safdarjung Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
