Young girl stabbed by boyfriend in a cab in Saket, cab driver rescues the girl nab the accused

New Delhi, October 13

A young girl was stabbed multiple times by her former boyfriend in South Delhi’s Saket only because she wanted to end the relationship with him. The girl was attacked in a cab; the cab driver caught hold of the boy and called police. 

The accused was identified as Gaurav Pal, who attacked her.  He hails from Ghaziabad and works at a private firm in Gurugram. 

In a purported video shot by the locals, the woman is seen covered in blood and seeking help, saying, “Please, take me to the hospital.” The clip also showed Pal in blood-stained clothes. 

The police stated that the woman suffered a total of 12-13 stab wounds on her head, face, neck, thighs and hands. 

He had been stalking the woman for months and was threatening her. The woman wanted to end the relationship and had rejected his advances, 

The police had received a PCR call in wee hours from from Lado Sarai and they were informed that a woman was lying injured after being stabbed by a man. The police rushed to the spot and arrested the accused who was caught by the cab driver. 

The cab driver told police that the duo were talking and arguing; later the accused took out a knife and started stabbing her. The woman had expressed the wish to end the relationship, which angered the accused who had asked her to meet him near her house. After the fight, the woman booked a cab as soon as she entered he cab, he also entered forcibly. He then began stabbing her multiple times. 

The woman had earlier also filed a complaint with police regarding Pal. On September 10, the woman had made a PCR call informing the cops about a man who was standing in front of her house and harassing her. After a police team was rushed to the woman’s house, inquiry revealed that Pal was fighting with her over some borrowed money. On September 27, the accused again broke into her house and allegedly tried to strangle her. 

The girl's family alleged that their complaints were not taken “seriously" by police and they were ignored. 

The police have booked the accused for attempt to murder and other charges under the IPC.
