A shocking case that can give chills down the sline was reported from Bengaluru where a young woman was found murdered, chopped into 59 pieces and stored in a fridge.
The victim has been identified as Mahalakshmi (29) who was killed by her boyfriend Ashraf. She was married to one Hemanth for six years and had a four-year-old daughter. She had seperated from her husband from last nine months.
She worked as a team leader with a costume outlet in Malleshwaram. She lived alone at her rented house in Vinayaka Nagar in Vyalikaval
Mahalakshmi’s estranged husband, Hemanth, alleged the victim was staying with one Ashraf, who originally hailed from Uttarakhand.
The police said that the incident was reported on September 21, after her neighbours complained of a foul smell emanating from her apartment. Mahalakshmi’s mother and sister later opened the door of her flat, only to find her maggot-infested body inside the fridge.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda told media that the police have identified the prime suspect in the case.
The victim's husband claimed that Ashraf murdered her based on which the police arested him.
The case is a reminder of the Shraddha Walkar murder case where Mumbai girl Shraddha was brought to Delhi by her boyfriend and after living in with her he killed her and chopped her body into pieces.
