Delhi Police and Madalsa Foundation to set up sanitary napkin vending machines across al police establishments in Delhi

The Delhi Police and Madalsa Foundation

collaborated to facilitate sanitary napkin vending machines at all police stations, headquarters and police establishments.in Delhi. 

Madalsa Foundation, a member of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( PHDCCI) is promoting and encouraging to install “Koko Lady”, a Sanitary Vending Machine which is specially designed to make available-Hygienic Sanitary Pads- Anywhere, Anytime and “Kokonator”   (Disposal Machine) which converts the used pad to ash- a smoke and odour controlled disposal mechanism.

The officials from the Welfare department said that In 1st phase the sanitary vending machine and disposal machine will be installed at 150 locations in various women washrooms at Police Headquarters and Police Stations in Delhi, Districts/Units Headquarters. 

Subsequently, in 2nd Phase the remaining Police Stations in Delhi, Districts/Units Headquarters and other buildings will be covered, officials added.

The welfare unit of Delhi Police signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Madalsa Foundation. Praveen Kumar Aggarwal of Madalsa Foundation signed the MoU with DCP Welfare Satish Kumar. 

The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Commissioner of Police, Delhi who was pleased to felicitate the representatives of Madalsa Foundation and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI). Commissioner of Police, Delhi appreciated the initiative taken by them in order to extend the facility to the women officers of Delhi Police as well as to keep the environment clean and hygienic.  

The officials stated the stakeholders have joined hands to bring all the women stakeholders together to create a vibrant ecosystem where women do not face any gender based barriers and allow them to increase their domain of action thereby supporting towards the mission of Women Empowerment.
