New Delhi, June 21
The Delhi Police celebrated International Yoga Day with the top brass of the national capital police alongwith officers in every district participating in Yoga.
The welfare unit of Delhi Police under the organised a yoga camp in the lawns of Delhi Police Headquarters.
CP Rakesh Asthana was the Chief Guest and Chief Participant in this event. The police officers enthusiastically enjoyed performing yoga under various Yoga instructors .
Delhi CP conversed with the participants and shared his experiences about the benefits of practicing yoga, an ancient tradition of India to ensure well-being, physical as well as mentally.
It was reiterated that practicing Yoga coupled with other healthy practices would help in transforming the persona of the police personnel apart from helping them to cope with the stress and challenges of their assignments.
Many participants who joined the officers for Yoga too benefitted from the programme and the experiences of fellow participants.
