Delhi Police arrests one who robbed two men at gunpoint in an ATM in Northeast Delhi

The man brandished a gun and looted around Rs.1 lakh from the victims who had gone to the ATM

New Delhi, March 31

The Delhi Police arrested one who allegedly robbed Rs 1 lakh from two men at gunpoint in an ATM in Delhi’s Yamuna Vihar  area. 

The victim, Qasim Kamar, along with his friend Naseem, were depositing money at an Axis Bank ATM on Yamuna Vihar Service Road. One man suddenly entered the ATM, brandished a gun, and looted approximately Rs 1 lakh from both victims before fleeing the scene.

The police stated that the incident took place in wee hours when a distress call was received at the Bhajanpura police station. 

The police teams analyzed the CCTV footage of the area and intelligence was gathered to identify the suspect.

The accused was identified as Danish, a resident of Purana Mustafabad. He was subsequently arrested from Karawal Nagar.

The police seized a semi-automatic pistol and ammunition used in the robbery.
