Delhi Police Dwarka District held one peddlar with cannabis sneaked in from Shillong

New Delhi, May 11

The Delhi Police Dwarka District held one peddlar with over five kilograms imported cannabis. The accused used to sneak in the contraband from Shillong in Meghalaya. 

The accused was identified as Anurag Daya Ram from Sector-15, Dwarka. 

The police stated that they had received information from one person who is indulged in Ganja supply in the area of Shivani Enclave in Sector-15 of Dwarka, 

The police team swung into action and after analyzing the area, a trap was laid at Shiv Book Dipot in Sec. 15, Dwarka and from where the accused was held. He was found with a red color beg containing five kilograms of imported illegal cannabis alongwith electronic weighing machine and blank transparent plastic pouches were recovered from his possession, while he was trying to sell the recovered illegal Ganja to local consumers.

The police officials said that Anurag disclosed that he is doing this job on the instruction of one Mayank from Tara Nagar, Dwarka. 

Anurag is a permanent resident of Rohtak HR. During the search for the job he came in contact with Mayank and as per inducement, he was indulged in the supply of the drugs. The police also later arrested the main supplier Mayank.
