Delhi Police East District held a drug peddler with huge cache of Charas

New Delhi, May 12

The Delhi Police East District held a drug peddler with huge cache of charas who was allegedly distributing charas in Delhi-NCR. 

The accused was identified as Israf-ul-Haque.

The police stated that Patparganj Industrial Area police station received information  that one Israf-ul-Haque is indulged in selling charas in Delhi & NCR area. The police received tip off about the accused's arrival at Anand Vihar ISBT to look for possible customers.

The police formed a team that raided at Meerut Point opposite ISBT Anand Vihar, Delhi, and apprehended one suspect. His identity was confirmed as Israf-ul-Haque from Shakur Basti.

During the search, charas weighing 4.400 Kg was recovered from the possession.

The accused has been booked under NDPS Act. 

The officials added that the investigation of the case is underway to ascertain the source of the recovered charas and involvement of other co-accused involved in the cartel.
