Delhi police probe on posters on vaccine drive, find involvement of political groups

Delhi police while investigating on the posters pointing out at PM on vaccine drive reportedly found involvement of political groups behind the coming up of posters.

The police said that FIR under section188 IPC and 3 Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Public Property Act- 2007 were registered at Mangolpuri police station for defacement of wall adjacent to Kanjhawala Road in the area of Mangolpuri by pasting posters mentioning therein that “मोदी जी हमारे बच्चों की वैक्सीन को विदेश क्यों भेज दिया?” (Modiji, why did you send vaccines meant for our children to foreign countries?)

The police stated that no details of printing press/publisher were mentioned on these posters. The police identified the accused from the video footage who were seen pasting these posters at about 4 AM. 

The officials said that the accused persons disclosed during interrogation that Arvind Gautam who is a worker of AAP at Sultanpur Majra, had sent an order on WhatsApp to Rahul regarding the subject matter of printing and Rs. 9000/- for printing and affixing these poster/hoarding. Rahul made a graphic image for printing and placed the order with Rajesh via email. 

Rahul Pradeep Kumar from Mangolpuri is runs a graphic designing shop at his address by the name of 'Mamta Graphics' and made a digital copy of  these poster/hoarding as per the order image recieved from Arvind Gautam. 

Anil Kumar alias Babu from Sultanpuri, runs an e-rickshaw bearing no. DL 1 ERA 0850 from which the hoardings were recovered.

Rajesh Sharma from Mongol Puri is the owner of Addline printing press. This order was given by Rahul via email Id rahulgujjar999@gmail.com to Rajesh on his mail id adline553@gmail.com. The printer did not mention name of press in the footnote of the printed material and violated DDMA guidelines for running press in this lockdown period, officials added.

The police added that in South district, similar posters were found pasted in the area of JJ Colony Khanpur in public vicinity following which FIR was registered at Neb Sarai police station.
During the investigation, two suspects were seen in CCTV footage carrying the posters/hoarding from a street of JJ colony Khanpur on that day. From local inquiry the persons were identified as Santosh and Mayank.

The officials further said that one Sanjay Chaudhary (Ex. Councillor Candidate of AAP) was behind the pasting of these posters.  He had directed his party worker Mayank from Khanpur Extension to get these posters printed and pasted in the area for public view. The contents of the posters were sent to Mayank by Sanjay Chaudhary by his phone through whatsapp.  Mayank went to the printing press Flex Printing at Devli Road and asked Mohit Chaudhary, owner of the Printing Press to print 20 posters for cash payment of Rs. 4000/-.

Mayank further deputed another AAP worker Santosh from Khanpur Village to get these posters pasted in the locality. The suspects Sanjay Chaudhary and Mohit Chaudhary are being examined in due course.

In West District, five persons were arrested at Kirti Nagar for similar defacement near Bihari Chowk, Mansarovar Garden, Delhi.  They were identified as Rakesh Kumar, an auto driver, Murari, a fitter, Devender Kumar,  Contractor, Tilak Raj Chhabra, printing press owner and Anil Gulati. 

During further investigation, it was revealed that it was being done on the directions of one Prashant Kumar from New Moti Nagar Delhi who is an AAP worker working with Rakesh Joshi who is also an active member of AAP, who has now been joined with the investigation, police officials stated.
