Haryana Police uses drones to check lane driving on highways, issues 412 challans

The Haryana Police have started using drones to keep watch on lane driving on highways, the officials issued 412 challans in the first go. 

The Gurugram Police have undertaken this initiative on instructions of DGP Haryana Shatrujit Kapoor and CP Gurugram Vikas Arora. 

The Gurugram traffic police stated that this campaign was run from Sirhaul Border to Khedki Daula Toll Plaza, so that accidents on the roads can be curbed and heavy vehicles on the road should drive only in the two lanes on the left side, so that fast moving vehicles can stop. Can move easily without any hindrance. Accidents occur every day due to lane changing of vehicles on the road, in which many people lose their lives. To prevent this, the Gurugram traffic police is making efforts by running a continuous challan campaign.

A total of 412 challans were issued by Gurugram Police on December 15 with the help of drones for lane change and a total fine amount of which is Rs. 3.12 lakhs was collected. 

The officials added that taking strict action against the drivers violating lane change driving and lane driving, a total of 6866 challans were issued by Gurugram Police from December 1 to 15, which included 5797 trucks, 518 passenger buses and 211 educational institute buses. Are. The total fine amount of these challans is Rs 58 lakh 09 thousand 600. 

Such challan campaigns will continue in future also. It has also been observed that after this campaign run by Gurugram Police, there has been a lot of improvement in lane driving. From next week, the number of drones will be increased to carry out such challans, officials added. 


▪️Gurugram Police has also appealed to all the transporters and educational institutions to instruct the drivers appointed on their vehicles to follow traffic rules and especially not to violate lane driving.
