IAS officers' daughter dies by suicide in Mumbai, leaves a note not blaming anyone for her death

Lipi's father, Vikas Rastogi, is the principal secretary in Maharashtra's Higher and Technical Education Department and her mother Radhika Rastogi is also a senior IAS officer serving in the state government.

New Delhi, June 6

Young daughter of Maharashtra cadre IAS officers, died by suicide early by jumping off from the 10th floor of a high-rise apartment in South Mumbai. 

The victim was identified as Lipi (27), a resident of Suruchi apartment near Mantralaya. She was a law student and pursuing her LLB course in Haryana's Sonipat. 

Lipi's father, Vikas Rastogi, is the principal secretary in Maharashtra's Higher and Technical Education Department and her mother Radhika Rastogi is also a senior IAS officer serving in the state government.

She was immediately taken to the GT Hospital where she was declared brought dead.

The police said she was anxious about her performance in academics, which forced her to take the extreme step. A suicide note was recovered from the spot in which she stated that no one should be blamed for her death.
