The Centre has appointed IPS Mahindra Nath Tiwari has as IGP CID J&K. Tiwari, an IPS officer of AGMUT 2004 batch, was posted in National Crimes Record Bureau as Director.
Tiwari is still awaiting order of his posting as per the vacany in J&K Police.
Bhim Sen Tuti of 2004 batch J&K cadre has been promoted as IGP. Tuti is deputed as London School of Economics and Political Science
IPS officer Uttam Chand, Deputy Secretary at the Cabinet Secretariat has been promoted as IGP. Chand is officer of J&K cadre of 2002 batch
Vidhi Kumar Birdi DIG in NIA has been promoted as IGP. Birdi is an IPS officer of 2003 batch in J&K cadre.
According to an government order, those promoted to Super Time Scale- (ii)-IG (Level-14) of the Pay Matrix include Uttam Chand (IPS) with effect from January 2021, on proforma basis, on reversion to the parent cadre; Vidhi Kumar Birdi (IPS). Keshav Ram Chaurasia (IPS) Atul Kumar Goel (IPS) and Bhim Sen Tuti (IPS) with “drawl of officiating pay from the date”.
Three IPS officers of 2008 batch have been promoted to the grade of Super Time Scale-(i) DIG (Level-13A in the Pay Matrix). Tejinder Singh (on proforma basis), Abdul Jabbar and Udayabhaskar Billa, as per the order.
Three officers of 2009 batch have been placed in the Selection Grade of IPS (Level-13 in the Pay Matrix) which include Imtiaz Ismail Parray, Shailendra Kumar Mishra (on proforma basis) and Rahul Malik (on proforma basis.)
The government as per a separate order also ordered that Reyaz Ahmad Darzi, incharge Deputy Director Prosecution Anantnag/Kulgam/Shopian shall also hold the charge of the post of Deputy Director Prosecution Pulwama and Budgam in addition to his own duties till further orders.
