Minor school girl on her way to school raped in Bijnor

New Delhi, November 9

A minor girl in Bijnor was allegedly raped by a man while she was heading to school. 

The police said the victim is six-year-old who was headed to her school when the accused blocked her way on the road.

The police added that the accused took the minor girl to a dilapidated building and sexually assaulted her.

The minor, after returning home, informed her parents about the incident, following which the police were alerted and a case was registered.

The accused was identified as Shahbaz from Mirzapur who was later arrested by the police

According to the police, he allegedly lured the minor to a dilapidated building and sexually assaulted her. 

The police added that the girl was taken for medical check up and child rights body was informed to take care of the girl's counselling and wellbeing after the unfortunate incident.
