The 20th batch of DANIPS officers passed out from Jharoda Kalan police training college in Delhi

New Delhi, March 26

The passing out parade of 20th batch of DANIPS (Delhi, Andaman & Nicobar Police Services) officers was held at Police Training College, at Jharoda Kalan in New Delhi. Eight DANIPS officers passed out from the centre. 

Delhi Police Commissioner SN Shrivastava took the salute of the marching contingents. The parade was attended by other senior officers of Delhi Police.

The PTC officials stated the passed out officers are highly educated with MA LLB, BA LLB, B.Tech, B.Sc and BA. The officers hail from Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhay Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttrakhand and Karnataka.  

Delhi CP was the Chief Guest of the event. He congratulated all the passed out DANIPS officers and acknowledged the working challenges faced by Delhi Police such as Terrorism, Citizen’s safety especially safety of women and weaker sections, Law & Order, VVIP security and Traffic operations. 

CP Shrivastava advised them to work in accordance with the lawful working system so that the prevention and investigation of crime is efficiently done. 

He emphasized the need for prevention of crime to strengthen the sense of security in society. He also emphasized on security of women in Delhi. The role of Police is most important in the metropolis like Delhi and they have to sympathize fully with the citizens and the weaker sections. He also advised to remain alert to deal with the global terrorism, national security and cyber crime. He further hoped that they will meet the expectations of an aware and educated society.

During this training in addition to the knowledge of administration, supervision, law, computers and cyber crime, traffic rules and human rights they were also given inputs of police Investigation work to learn skills required for their profession. 

In addition to that, experts were invited to educate them on gender sensitization, yoga and stress management. 

The officers were trained in PT, parade, Un-armed combat and firing by modern weapons. Keeping in view the terrorist activities, they have been well trained in anti terrorist measures too. 

ACP Vishesh Dhaterwal received the "All Rounders" Best Trophy whereas ACP Lakshay Panday stood first in Outdoor examination.
