Youth bags jobs in healthcare sector through Delhi Police Yuva scheme

New Delhi, June 10

Under the Yuva Scheme, Delhi North-West District provided placement to 24 under-privileged youth after providing skill training to them, in association with leading hospitals.

A job fair was organized at Bharat Nagar police station in which reputed Hospitals, Companies, Clinics alongwith 34 candidates participated. 

DCP North West, Usha Rangnani stated that the objective is to mainstream youth in the fight against Covid-19 and also to wean them away from crime due to economic disadvantage and loss of jobs during lockdown. The target group comprised mainly of unemployed youth from jhuggi clusters, resettlement colonies, slums and school drop-outs. 

24 candidates were offered placement by following Hospitals: NKS super-speciality Hospital offered placement to 7 candidates. Vinayak Hospital offered placement 5 candidates. Pentamed Hospital offered placement to 4 candidates.

Maharaja Agarsen Hospital offered placement to three candidates and Sri Agrasen international Hospital offered placement to three candidates. Savitri Nursing Home offered placement to two candidates.

The officials stated that Ujjwal Gandhi from Ujjwal Enterprises played a pivotal role in bringing together these Hospitals for the placement purpose. 

These 34 candidates were provided short-term skill training in Covid Healthcare Basic Course. Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital trained 12 candidates in a training programme of 10 days duration. Maheshwari Nursing Home provided training to 10 candidates for a duration of 2 weeks. Hans Vharitable Hospital provided training to 5 candidates in a one week duration course. Nulife Hospital provided training to 5 candidates in a one week duration course. Savitri Nursing Home provided training to 2 candidates for a duration of 15 days.

The officials added that they were trained in fields like General Duty Assistant, Frontline Covid Health worker, Operation of Oxygen Plants, Covid Protocol, Home Care Assistant, CPR & Domestic Health Worker. All the 34 candidates were provided “Certificates of Training”.

DCP North-West, Usha Rangnani and Dr. Suman, MS, Deep Chand Bhandu Hospital also interacted with all the candidates & motivated them for better performance and wished them best of luck for their future.

All the selected candidates were given “Letter of Intent” and they will be given salaries ranging from Rs. 15000/- to Rs. 25000/-.  

Further short-term skill training of 30 more candidates is ongoing at Fortis Hospital & MD City Hospital, which will be completed in next week.

Earlier 25 candidates (1st Batch) were provided skill training through 5 companies namely, BO International, Bio-Tech Waste Solutions, Atlas Chemicals, World Remedies & Bharat Pharma. 14 out of these 25 candidates were provided placement in these companies, officials added.
