Bengaluru school receives bomb threats emails, hoax

The school received mails from email IDs coldghost456@gmail.com and askbirnorth@tipsglobal.net, under the name 'Father Kodachi' : Bengaluru Police

A Bengaluru school received a bomb threat through e-mails saying five pipeline bombs had been planted on the school premises. The threat, sent to the Indian Public School in Bengaluru, later turned out to be a hoax.

 

The police informed that the bomb threat mail was received by the school at around 6:57 am through the email IDs coldghost456@gmail.com and askbirnorth@tipsglobal.net, under the name 'Father Kodachi'.

 

The local police, along with the bomb squad, rushed to the school after receiving the information. The police and the bomb squad conducted a thorough search around the school premises, however, no alarming or harmful material was found during the inspection. 

 

The police have launched and investigation and roped in cybercrime to trace the sender.
