The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested three accused including Sub Divisional Inspector (SDI), an Oversear, and Postal Assistant of Head Post Office, Azamgarh (UP) for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 7,500/- from the complainant.
CBI registered a case against two accused including said Sub Divisional Inspector (SDI) and Oversear of Head Post Office, Azamgarh on allegations that accused demanded undue advantage of Rs.25,000/- from complainant, who had been been selected as Assistant Branch Post Master, Gramin Dak Seva at Rasoolpur Nandlal Branch, Indian Post, Azamgarh.
The accused demanded bribe for allowing complainant to join/take charge of the said post. After negotiation accused agreed to reduced bribe amount to Rs.10,000, officials added.
The CBI laid a trap and caught a Postal Assistant red handed while demanding and accepting undue advantage of Rs.7,500 from the complainant in convince accused SDI and Oversear.
