BSF apprehends 13 Bangladeshi nationals

Three female, three male and seven childrens, and three Indian touts were apprehended : BSF

New Delhi, February 28

The Border Security Force (BSF) followong an intelligence based operation against illegal border crossing in the border area of Kailashar district 13 Bangladeshi including three female, three male and seven childrens, and three Indian touts were apprehended.   

The BSF stated that all the Bangladeshi are resident of district Moulvibazar, Sunamgunj, Netragunj and Netrokona, Barisal in Bangladesh. Apprehended Indian touts are Kajal Das of Silchar in Assam, Ajit Das of Unakoti and Prasanjit Debnath of Dhalai in Tripura. 

In a concerted effort to curb illegal cross-border activities, in the intervening night of 27/28 Feb 2025, a joint operation was conducted with Government Railway Police (GRP) at Agartala Railway Station. This operation led to the apprehension of two Indian nationals involved in facilitating the unauthorized entry of Bangladeshi into Indian territory.

Additionally, in a special operation was launched in association with Tripura police on February 27, two Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended near old ONGC, when they were trying to cross over to Bangladesh.
