Centre appoints nine IPS officers in Delhi Police who were on deputation

New Delhi, July 6

The Ministry of Home Affairs has appointed nine IPS officers in Delhi Police who were on central deputation and posted in other union territories. 

The 2004 batch IPS officer, Parwaiz Ahmed has been appointed as Joint CP Legal Cell upon his arrival. the 2007 batch IPS officer, Deepak Purohit has been appointed as Additional CP Traffic. 

Pramod Kumar Mishra of 2008 has been appointed as Additional CP general Administration while SK Tewari of 2009 batch has been appointed as Additional CP Security. 

The 2020 batch IPs officer, Rakesh Kumar, Satyavir Katra, Dinesh Kumar gupta ad Sanjay Bhatia have been appointed as DCP RP Bhawanm DCP DE Cell, DCP Traffic and DCP Crime respectively. 

The 2012 batch IPS officer Rakesh Paweria has been appointed as DCP Headquarters III. 

The Centre also brought in senior IPS officer Neeraj Thakur who was DGP Andaman and Nicobar Police back to Delhi and Satish Golcha who was DGP Arunachal Pradesh. Devesh kumar Shrivastava who was DGP Mizoram has been transferred as DGP Andaman and Nicobar Police.

Two days ago, the Centre sent seven IPS officers to other union territories. 

The 2011 batch IPS officer Shankar Chaudhary who was DCP Dwarka and later posted at modernization wing of Delhi Police has been transferred to Mizoram Police. the 2018 batch Akshat Kaushal has been transferred to Goa Police.  

Mohd Irshad Haider has been transferred to Andaman and Nicobar Islands, while Anil Kumar Lala has been transferred to Dadra and Nagar Haveli-Diu Police. Rajendra Prasad Meena and Satyawan Gautam have been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh while Anita Roy has been transferred to Puducherry.
