Delhi Police busts a narcotic syndicate, arrests four including women

Police seized 1.19kgs of Heroin from the accuset

New Delhi, April 11

A team.from Narcotics Squad of the North-West District has arrested four accused individuals in connection with drug trafficking activities. 

The arrested persons have been identified as Pawan alias Kaalu from Mangolpuri, Paras alias Bunni from Nangloi, Delhi, Ishmat Tara from Wazirabad, Delhi, Meena alias Sameera Wfrom Jahangirpuri. 

A total of 1 kg 196.36 grams of high-quality heroin/smack was recovered from their possession, police informed. 

DCP (Northwest) Bhisham Singh stated that the accused were found to be actively involved in operating a drug syndicate, and had recently expanded their drug peddling network across the North-West District. They supplied contraband substances to various clients on demand. All four individuals are habitual and active criminals, with prior involvement in multiple criminal cases.

As per the case details,  team of the Narcotics Squad received intel. After days of relentless efforts and meticulous planning, the team successfully apprehended the accused. 

On the same day,  a woman identified as Meena alias Sameera was apprehended. A total of 27.67 grams of heroin/smack was recovered from her possession. 

During further investigation and based on the disclosure of accused Meena, co-accused Paras and Ishmat Tara were held. 

During interrogation, both Paras and Ishmat Tara disclosed that a person named Pawan alias Kalu, son of Rajesh and resident of the aforementioned address, was the primary supplier of heroin to them. Subsequently, Pawan arrived on a Scooty bearing registration number DL-8SCW-4393 and was apprehended based on the information provided by Paras and Ishmat Tara.

Upon searching the scooty, 10 packets containing a total of 998.7 grams of heroin/smack were recovered from the storage compartment (dickey) of the vehicle, officials added.
