New Delhi, April 11
The Delhi Police EOW arrested a doctor for alleged forgery and taking loans on forged documents of his wife.
The accused was identified as Dr. Sudhakar Arya.
The EOW stated that the complainant reported that when she applied for the loan for higher studies of her daughter, her loan was rejected by PNB on the ground that she had already taken heavy loan and is a defaulter. When she checked herCIBIL, she came to know that her husband Dr. Sudhakar Arya had taken two loans of Rs. 1,03,97,767 and Rs. 1,85,50,000 from DHFL, Netaji
Subhash Place Branch, where she had been cited as co-applicant. She filed acase in the Mediation Centre, Delhi High Court and notices were issued to Dr. Sudhakar Arya four times, but he never attended the mediation centre.
The officials further said that she came to know that her signatures on the loan forms were not only forged but also her PAN Card and election card attached with the loan forms were also forged.
The EOW investigation revealed that the signatures of complainant on both the loan
applications were forged. This was proved with the help of forensic report. The further verifications from the concerned authorities also confirmed that the PAN Card and election voter card of the complainant, the copies of which were enclosed with the loan applications, were forged.
The officials stated that the accused used forged KYC documents, while filing loan applications with the financial institutions, forgery of signatures of co-applicant on the loan applications and mortgaging the joint property as a collateral security, without the consent and knowledge of the second partner for procuring loan. The accused also didn't repay back the loan dues and forcing the financial institution to move to DRT for auction of the mortgaged property.
The investigation regarding forgeries and utilization of funds and the roles of otherassociates is in progress.
The accused is a doctor by profession and running a nursing home. The couple however are living separately since the year 2006.
