New Delhi, April 30

The police teams from Burari police station and Highway Jaguar Patrolling provided Green Corridor and facilitate two trucks carrying total 125 oxygen gas cylinders in two instances to reach Burari Government hospital in short time.

In the first instance, at around 3:00 PM, a PCR call was received at Burari police station about the shortage of oxygen gas supply in Burari Government Hospital.

The hospital authorities informed that 75 refilled oxygen gas cylinders were coming on a hired truck and a PCR vehicle was also escorting the same. But the supply may take one and a half an hour to reach the hospital, as per their evaluation. As there was an acute shortage of oxygen gas supply in the hospital hence there was urgent need to minimise the time of supply.

There were 300+ oxygen beds and more than 300 patients were getting treatment for COVID-19, out of which many of them were on Ventilator.  Almost all patients were on oxygen support.

The police team immediately left for the route of coming vehicle and kept regular contact with its driver. The team met with the oxygen gas supplying vehicle near ITO and without wasting any time escorted the same to the Burari hospital by creating a Green Corridor.

Within quickest possible time the vehicle, carrying 75 Oxygen gas Cylinders, was handed over the officials of Burari Government Hospital.

In the second instance, at 5:30 PM, Inspector Ashok received information from Burari Govt. Hospital that their supply of 50 refilled oxygen gas cylinders in a truck was coming from UP via Chilla Border and the same may also be escorted to reach the hospital in minimum possible time.
