New Delhi, April 18
The Delhi Police South District traced two missing children in a day, both less than 10 years of age.
In the first case, a four-year-old child was reunited with his family. A PCR call was received regarding missing of minor child aged four years.The footage of the CCTV cameras of the vicinity from where the child was suspected to be missing were obtained and briefly analyzed to get any clue about the child. The beat staff of the police station were informed about the kidnapping of the child and were directed to get in touch with local informer and develop human intelligence.
The team checked all nearby streets, markets and residential areas. The police checked about the child also through ZIPNET, after that many children homes, churches, temples and mosques were visited and thoroughly checked by the police staff. The missing child was finally traced from Harswaroop Colony. The child was handed over to his parents.
In the second case, a nine-year-old child was reunited with his parents. The police said a PCR call was received at that one child was sitting there in an abandoned condition at the road side.
The police reached the spot and found a child sitting there. The police inquired about his whereabouts but the child was unable to give any details. The police began searching in nearby area and made announcenents through PA system. The team shared photographs of the missing child on various police groups, RWA, MWA etc.
The child was traced at Ravidas Basti. When the police reached the address, the parents of the child recognized him and the child was handed over to his parents.
