Delhi Police South East District saved lives of 150 by supplying oxygen

New Delhi, May 2

Delhi Police South East District saved lives of 150 by arranging oxygen cylinders and providing Green corridor from Greater Noida to Moolchand Vimhans Hospital

The police had received information at  Lajpat Nagar police station regarding the shortage of oxygen cylinders in IBS hospital. The available stock would last only for two hours. There were 40 Covid patients on oxygen support under critical situation in the hospital. 

The officials stated that immediately a team  arranged 22 oxygen cylinders from different locations in Delhi. Besides it, the regular supply of the oxygen for Vimhans and Moolchand hospital was on the way from IONX Surajpur, Greater Noida. Two green corridors were provided by the team of PS Lajpat Nagar from Greater Noida to Vimhans and Moolchand Hospitals. 

The officials further said that police escorted oxygen tankers providing free passage to ensure the timely supply of oxygen to the patients. 

DCP South East RP Meena stated that  oxygen was made available well within time to save the life of 150 Covid patients at said three hospitals.
