Delhi Police Special Cell arrests two more accused linked to Kala Jathedi gang in Gokulpuri petrol pump firing case

The duo who have a historysheet of crime have been found linked to gangster Kala Jathedi

New Delhi, November 23

The Delhi Police have arrested two men linked to the Kala Jathedi gang for their alleged involvement in Delhi’s Gokulpuri petrol pump firing incident of November 15.

The police identified the accused as Abhishek Kumar aka Harshu, 22, and Vikrant Kumar aka Vicky, 23, residents of Johripur Extension in Delhi. 

The police stated that Vicky worked as a recovery agent in Johripur and used to run a parking lot on a plot he owned till 2022 and has historysheet of crime. 

According to police, Harshu met Jathedi last year and he introduced him to a man named Johny. On November 15, Johny asked Harshu to go to the Loni bus depot and meet his associates- Ankit and Deepak. He alongwith the duo handed them a Splendor bike and two pistols. Ankit and Deepak had an Apache bike along with pistols and the four went to the petrol pump. 

The police have seized two .32-bore pistols and the Splendor bike. 

As per the case details, on November 15, four men on two motorcycles opened fire at a petrol pump in the Gokulpuri area at around 10.30 pm, the police said. The petrol pump supervisor sustained injuries caused by broken glass pieces after the accused fired 16 rounds of bullets at his cabin, they added.
