New Delhi, December 21
The body of seven-year-old Zohan Pathan who went missing after a ferry capsized off the Mumbai coast was retrieved after three days long search.
Baby Zohan was the last passenger to be traced since the tragedy that claimed the lives of 14 people, including Navy personnel.
The Navy and Coast Guard officials had been searching for the body since the accident which took place after a speedboat collided with the ferry.
The authorities from the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority, CISF, Navy and Coast Guard were carrying out rescue operations. Navy and Coast Guard continued the search with nine vessels working non-stop.
Zohan was last seen in the arms of his mother Sakina Pathan who drowned in the accident. The family had boarded the ferry from the Gateway of India on December 18 and were headed towards Elephanta Caves when the accident occurred.
