Delhi Traffic Police issues advisory for Indian Navy's half marathon on February 2

New Delhi, January 31

With a view to promote fitness, healthier lifestyle and camaraderie with an amalgamation of Armed Forces and the community at large, Indian Navy  is  organising a half marathon on February 2.

Around 15000 participants are expected to participate in Half Marathon which will be flagged off from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at 0500 AM.

The Delhi Traffic Police released  a traffic advisory for the event. 

HALF MARATHON - 21.1 KM (FROM 05:00 AM)
Start from JLN Stadium Complex – T/R Bhisham Pitamaha Marg – T/L Lodhi Road – U/Turn on Lodhi Road from Sri Aurobindo Marg – Straight on Lodhi Road towards Mathura Road – T/L Mathura Road – T/L Subramaniam Bharti Marg – T/R on Dr. Zakir Hussain Marg – T/L C-Hexagon – T/L Kartavyapath – T/R Rafi Marg – R/A Rail Bhawan – T/L Rafi Marg – T/L Sansad Marg – U/Turn Sansad Marg – T/R Rafi Marg – R/A Rail Bhawan – T/L Rafi Marg – T/L Kartavyapath – T/L Janpath – U/Turn on Janpath near Hotel Le-Meridien and move straight towards Kartavyapath – T/L Kartavyapath – India Gate Canopy – Back on C-Hexagon – T/L C-Hexagon (Wrong carriageway) – T/R Dr. Zakir Hussain Marg – T/L Subramaniam Bharti Marg – T/R Mathura Road – T/R on Lodhi Road – T/L Bhisham Pitamaha Marg – T/L JLN Stadium Complex – Finish outside Stadium Complex.

Start from JLN Stadium Complex – T/R Bhisham Pitamaha Marg – T/L Lodhi Road – U/Turn on Lodhi Road from Sri Aurobindo Marg – Straight on Lodhi Road towards Mathura Road – T/L Mathura Road – T/L Subramaniam Bharti Marg – T/R on Dr. Zakir Hussain Marg – T/L C-Hexagon –T/R from India Gate view point – Amar Jawan Jyoti Road – Subhash Chandra Canopy - Back on Amar Jawan Jyoti Road – T/L C-Hexagon– T/R Dr. Zakir Hussain Marg – T/L Subramaniam Bharti Marg – T/R Mathura Road – T/R on Lodhi Road – T/L Bhisham Pitamaha Marg – T/L JLN Stadium Complex – Finish outside Stadium Complex.

REGULATIONS & DIVERSIONS:

Traffic movement will be regulated on the above roads from 04:45 AM to 09:00 AM. However, uninterrupted movement of emergency vehicles will be facilitated. Cross traffic movement at junctions located along the route will be allowed depending upon the location and density of participants.
