Delhi Police organises walkathon to spread awareness on road safety

More than 125 participants took part in the program

New Delhi, February 25

The Delhi Traffic Police organised a walkathon program at Shahdara Traffic Circle to make aware the public about traffic rules and to achieve the road safety goals. People from all walks of life like students, businessmen, working professionals, Police officers participated in the program. 

More than 125 participants took part in the program.

The program started from Gate No. 4, Yamuna Sports complex, took the round of Yamuna Sports complex and ended at Gate No. 4. Yamuna Sports Complex also. The participants wore the T-shirts and caps with road safety slogans and also distributed the pamphlets to make aware the public about road safety rules.

Special CP (Traffic) K Jagdeeshan stated that the purpose of the program was to educate the public about the perils of reckless irresponsible driving, to promote road safety awareness and to reduce the road accidents and causalities.
