Delhi Traffic Police organises special talks for mental wellbeing for its personnel on Women's Day

New Delhi, March 9n

On the occasion of International Women's Day, Delhi Traffic Police organised talk sessions on physical and mental wellness as well as cervical and breast cancer exclusively for the benefit of women personnel.

In addition to that, a preventive health checkup camp was organized for traffic police personnel wherein basic health parameters like bone densitometry, body mass index, ECG, Random blood sugar, etc. and eye checkup was done and the services of consultant physiotherapist and general physician were also provided . 

Around 53 women personnel took benefit of all the three sessions and 49 male personnel underwent the preventive health check up. 

The physical and mental session was conducted by Smriti Shah Gambhir, clinical psychologist. The objective of the session was to enhance the mental/physical agility, confidence and strength of  women personnel juggling between their official and familial roles and responsibilities. 

The talk session on breast and cervical cancer was  conducted by Dr. Anita Singh, consultant gynecologist from AV hospital Vaishali. 

Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic - HQ Geeta Rani Verma chaired the talk session and DCP Traffic Road Safety Cell and modernization felicitated the guest speakers and the paramedical team for extending their support on the occasion.
