Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana inaugurated the 1st Banquet Hall of Delhi Police 'Utsav Sadan' at Kingsway Camp in Delhi.
The Utsav Sadan is a Banquet Hall for the purpose of engagements, marriages, parties, get-togethers and other functions of police personnel of Delhi Police at economical rates as a welfare measure.
The Utsav Sadan has been completed in a duration of about 10 months and the officers/men of Delhi Armed Police alongwith Officials of PWD have put their untiring efforts and hard-work to complete this graceful and lavish Banquet Hall ‘Utsav Sadan’ despite so many hurdles that have come in the way like Spread of COVID and subsequent lockdowns resulting into shortage of labour and unavailability of logistics and ban of constructions due to change of weather in November and December.
The ‘UtsavSadan’ Hall has very advance and classy interior with a capacity of 500-700 persons. Apart from this, there is a grand ‘Mandap’ in ‘Utsav Sadan’. It has four modern rooms each on ground and first floor. Apart from above, two catering areas and open area has also been created, which has enhanced its capacity. Modern kitchen, centralized AC and rain water harvesting systems have also been installed in 'Utsav Sadan'.
Along with this, sufficient parking arrangements have also been made in front of the 'Utsav Sadan' for those who visit to attend the function. The Utsav Sadan has been built at a cost of Rs. 7.51 crores, officials added.
The inauguration ceremony was telecasted in all major Police residential colonies of Delhi Police and many police families have witnessed the program through physical presence as well as through virtual mode.
